How Can We Help?

This is a very common question, particularly as there’s lots of confusing, and often misleading information circulated by some phone repair companies.

At fix2U we stand behind the quality of our repairs, and our repair parts, which is why we’re able to offer our market-beating 5 year parts and labour warranty for your complete peace of mind.

We’ll always be clear, transparent and honest in our dealings, and this policy extends to our plain-speaking explanations about the repair parts we use. So we’ve compiled a short summary here to give you the low-down on fix2U’s repair parts.

Most phone repairers offer pretty limited warranty periods on their repairs, which means if things go wrong with your phone down the line you’re left high and dry.  In fact, most repair stores (including Apple itself) will only offer you a three month warranty on repairs. That’s not cricket!

Because fix2U use the highest quality parts available on the market, we’re able to offer a staggering 5-year parts & labour guarantee on our repairs. Check the details of our warranty and warranty claim process.

Data loss during the repair process is an extremely rare event, but nevertheless, we suggest making a backup to safeguard against any potential data loss event.

fix2U, therefore, recommends you take steps to ensure that a full and complete backup of your device is made prior to your repair booking.

Instructions on how to backup Samsung Galaxy devices.

Please note that fix2U can’t be held liable in the event of any data loss on your device as either a direct or indirect result of the repair process.

Not anymore! Following the landmark ACCC v Apple court case settled in June 2018, the rules have changed. If you replace the screen on your iPad or your iPhone, your Apple warranty will not be affected. Other repairs, including battery replacements, housing replacements, and charge port replacements may however impact your warranty. Find out more about the warranty on the fix2U blogs.

After your repair is completed, you can pay with a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX) or with cash. Payment for card payments is made directly to the Repair Hero using a safe and secure card reader. Because of our no-fix no-fee policy, you will only be charged if we repair your device, and the price you see on our website is the price you pay – no call-out fees or hidden extra costs!

With fix2U, we’ll travel to you and fix your phone or tablet on the spot. Our mobile phone repairs normally take 30 minutes or less, but depending on the mobile phone model and the extent of damage, some repairs might take 45 minutes while others take just 15 minutes. iPad Repairs may take up to one hour depending on the extent of damage. fix2U use the highest quality parts available on the market for all our repairs, and offer a market-beating 5 Year Guarantee on our repairs.

In most cases the answer is a resounding yes! Over 85% of our repairs are completed on the same day we receive your booking, so if you’d like your mobile phone repair or iPad repair done same-day, we’ll do our level best to make it happen.

If your booking’s received late in the day, we may not always be able to reach you same-day.

If your repair is urgent, and your allocated Repair Hero is unable to schedule your repair same-day, you can ask your Repair Hero or our Customer Service team if there’s an alternative repairer in your area who can reach you sooner.

Our all-inclusive prices are very competitive, with screen repairs starting at just $89. Add the convenience that we come to you, and it means you can carry on doing the things you love while your phone repair is completed on the spot – at your home, work, or even your favourite café. You can get an instant repair price for your phone repair. We also repair iPads!

Worried about call-out fees? We don’t charge them. The price you’re quoted on our website is the price you pay. And with fix2U’s risk-free no fix, no fee* policy on our most common repairs, if we can’t repair your phone there’s nothing to pay! What’s more, fix2U use only the best quality repair parts on the market. In fact, we’re so confident in the quality of our repairs that we offer a market-beating 5 Year Guarantee on parts and labour for your peace of mind.

Unfortunately fix2U don’t repair liquid damaged / water damaged devices.

Once a device is exposed to liquid, it can be impacted and damaged in a number of ways. This in turn can significantly change the timeframe in which the liquid can render a device useless. Because of this there is a very low success rate with reviving a liquid damaged device, and if revived we often see complications later on.

No problem – we can still fix it! A phone screen is composed of three separate layers that together form a single ‘screen assembly’. This includes the display panel (also called the LCD or OLED panel), a touch sensitive layer, and finally a sheet of glass. When your phone is dropped onto a hard surface, one or more of these layers can be damaged. Sometimes, broken pieces of glass will damage the LCD or OLED layer of the screen, which results in inky splodges on the display, or vertical lines running from top to bottom.

Rather than simply replacing the broken glass layer, fix2U’s phone screen repair process involves replacing the entire screen assembly with a brand new one, which means you don’t need to worry if your display panel has been damaged as it will be completely replaced with a new screen assembly during the repair. As it’s quicker and simpler to replace the entire screen assembly, it also means we can perform your phone repair for you very quickly – typically in under 20 minutes.

Yes, fix2U can repair broken back glass for both iPhone and Samsung phones.

For iPhone, our repair process differs slightly depending on whether you’ve chosen a ‘come to you’ repair at your home or office, or whether you are mailing your device to fix2U for repair via our ZeroFuss mail-in process.

For ‘Come To You’ repairs – this repair involves replacing the entire ‘chassis’ of your phone. As well as changing the rear glass, we will also change your entire iPhone housing (the metal part of the phone). The added benefit of this repair is that if you currently have a scratched or dented housing, this will be replaced with a brand new housing. This is one of the most time consuming repairs we do, and you should expect the repair to take between 1 – 1.5 hours.

For Mail-In repairs – fix2U will use a special process to remove the broken rear glass on your device using a blue laser. A new sheet of replacement glass is then bonded to your device. The price for this repair is significantly lower than for the housing replacement as the labour involved in the repair is significantly less when compared to a complete chassis replacement.
